Giving is an acknowledgement that all we have belongs to God in the first place. It is an act of worship that lets us participate in the ministry of the gospel, and extends God’s grace to others so that they may come to faith in Christ.

Option 1: Online Offering

We offer two online options to donate electronically to our church. Worshippers who give in this way may still participate in the act of worship by putting a representative “offering card” into the offering bag in place of the envelope and money. These cards will be available in the pews.

  1. Pre-authorized Debit - Participants will pre-authorize the church to deduct a designated amount directly from their bank account. Deduction can be MONTHLY or ONE-TIME.

  2. Interac e-Transfer - Participants will access on-line or mobile banking and donate to North York (Chinese) Church by email. Send donations to e-offering@nycbc.ca

If you wish to donate investments / securities, please contact our church office for more information and the applicable forms. See below for some considerations for this kind of donation.

What are the benefits of donating investments?
If you donate certain types of investments, you may be entitled to an inclusion rate of zero on any capital gain resulting from the donation of investments to a qualified donee (like NYCBC). In other words, the realized capital gain may not be subject to Canadian tax if you donate securities to NYCBC.

What are examples of investments?
-
a share, debt obligation, or right (e.g., security (stock) option) listed on a designated stock exchange.
- a unit of a mutual fund trust or segregated fund trust
