Volunteer working with minors (age under 18)

Step 1: Apply to be a Volunteer

Apply to serve in your ministry group or fellowship:

  • Children Ministry - Complete the application form here https://nycbc.breezechms.com/form/2be9d8642179

  • Youth & Family Ministry – approval required directly from the ministry

  • Fellowship involving volunteers working with minors – approval required directly from the fellowship leadership

After being accepted as a volunteer, continue to Step 2.

Step 2: Complete a Vulnerable Sector Check (Police Check)

  • A valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check is required for all volunteers age 18 and older.

  • This check must be renewed every 5 years.

Step 3: Attend Abuse Prevention Training

  • All volunteers are required to participate in an Abuse Prevention Training session.

  • The next scheduled training (In Cantonese with Mandarin translation) is on Saturday, March 28, 2026 (1:30 - 4:30 PM).
