Ministry Description 事工簡介

事工組目的

促進 發展以群體牧養為主並透過團契與小組的關顧及栽培網絡，主要是使每一位來到「北約」的都能融入教會並且享有健全的教會生活。按詩篇133及約翰福音的亮光， 我們的目標是盼望會眾能融洽共處、彼此相顧、互相服侍、以此一起見証主耶穌基督的愛。

迎賓 (5名)

  • 幫助新來賓投入教會生活。

  • 招募及培訓迎賓在每主日崇拜前接待新來賓。

  • 認識他們的需要，轉介教會跟進並邀請參加團契、小組、主日學等。

  • 招募及培訓迎賓。

  • 安排歡迎新來賓午餐會。

  • 收取留名咭。

群體牧養支援 (2名)

  • 提供行政及措施方面的支援， 幫助發展及履行牧養各團契群體的方案。

  • 提供資源，包括經濟資助及訓練，培訓團契領導的成員。

  • 如有需要、提供經濟資助團契之運作。

  • 如有需要、協助招募團契導師。

  • 協助計劃及推行對小組組長及團契領導的整體培訓。

全教會活動 (1名)

  • 安排適合粵語堂、英文堂及國語堂之活動，以促進彼此相交。

  • 策劃中文堂夏令會。

2024 年度事工組的目標 

促進發展以群體牧養為主，並透過團契與小組的關顧及栽培網絡，主要是使每一位來到「北約」的都能融入教會，並且享有健全的教會與團契生活。

  • 幫助新移民投入教會和團契生活, 使「北約」成為他們屬靈的家。

  • 成立探訪團隊，並提供探訪培訓。

  • 恢復舉行粵語堂退修會。

 為達到目標所作的活動重點

迎新部今年共舉辦了三次「迎新午餐會」，由於主要新來賓仍然由香港過來的新移民, 所以其中兩次 (八月和九月)都與挪亞團契聯合舉辦。共約有47名新來賓參加, 好讓他們認識教會, 並融入團契和小組生活。

肢體生活事工組於今年成立探訪團隊 現在探訪團隊約有13名成員。為更能照顧關愛不同年紀與需要的弟兄姊妹和朋友，事工組於今年提供三個不同的訓練：

  •  10 月19、26日及11 月2日與社群服務及頣康中心合辦 - 「樂齡居家探訪訓練 」。

  •  11 月9日與中信中心合辦 -「沿途有你- 與青少年溝通與同行」。

  • 12 月3及10日與泉源輔導中心合辦 - 「明白關懷探訪意義」。

此外事工組於10月12-14日感恩節長週末於Americana Conference & Resort舉行粵語堂退修㑹，講員梁家麟牧師。主題:"不完美的信仰實踐"。有超過150位弟兄姊妹參加。其中「北約之最」的環節, 可以另弟兄姊妹回味在「北約」這個屬靈的家的生活點滴。

 成果及一點前瞻分享

  • 為了深進建立探訪團隊 ，事工組來年會提供一至兩次探訪訓練。

  • 另外為了提供各團契彼此交往聯絡的機會，事工組會舉行兩次「互動團契」活動，每次會邀請粵語堂一半的團契參加，第一次活動將會於六月中舉行，另一次將會於感恩節長週末舉行。

Goals of the ministry group 

The promotion of development is mainly based on group pastoral care, and through the care and cultivation network of fellowships and groups, the main purpose is to enable everyone who comes to "NYCBC" to integrate into the church and enjoy a healthy church and fellowship life.

  • Help new immigrants to participate in church and fellowship life and make NYCBC their spiritual home.

  • Set up a visiting team and provide visiting training.

  • Resume the Cantonese retreat.

2. The highlights of the activities for achieving the goals

The Welcome Department held three "Welcome Lunches" this year. Since the main new guests are still new immigrants from Hong Kong, two of them (August and September) were co-organized with Noah Fellowship. A total of about 47 new guests attended to get to know the church and integrate into fellowship and group life.

The Body Life Ministry Group established a visiting team this year. The visiting team now has about 13 members. In order to better care for brothers, sisters and friends of different ages and needs, the Ministry Team provides three different trainings this year:

  • "Home Visiting Training for the Elderly" co-organized with Community Services Ministry and the Yee Hong Centre on October 19, 26 and November 2.

  • On November 9, co-organized with Toronto CCM Center - "With You Along the Way - Communicating and Walking with Young People".

  • Co-organized with Living Water Counselling Centre on December 3 and 10 - “Understanding the Meaning of Caring Visits”.

In addition, the ministry team held a Cantonese retreat at Americana Conference & Resort during the Thanksgiving weekend from October 12th to 14th, with Pastor Liang Jialin as the speaker. Theme: "Imperfect Practice of Faith". More than 150 brothers and sisters attended.

The "Best of NYCBC" segment allows brothers and sisters to reminisce about the daily life in NYCBC, their spiritual home.

3.The results and some forward looking sharing

  • In order to further build the visiting team, the ministry team will provide one or two visiting training sessions next year.

  • In order to provide opportunities for fellowships to interact and connect with each other, the ministry team will hold two "Interactive Fellowship" activities, each time inviting half of the fellowships in the Cantonese church to participate. The first event will be held in mid-June, and the other will be held during the Thanksgiving long weekend.
