事工簡介

事工組目的

  • 教導聖經，裝備信徒，建立靈命，培養德行。

事工範圍 

青成主日學

  • 物色、訓練、及支持已具備資格及願意委身的主日學教員。

  • 發展一套主日學課程，設有不同的科目，包括書卷、專題、福音、成長等。

進修

  • 重視進修，鼓勵主日學教師報讀晚間適合之選修科或其他神學課程；設立公餘較長時間之神學進修津貼，並按時開設師資訓練班。

靈修

  • 鼓勵弟兄姊妹繼續使用靈修日記 、培養良好靈修生活。

1. The goals of the ministry group for the Year 2024
Goals of the ministry group 

  • Equip all current Sunday School teachers so that they can pass on the bible teachings to brothers and sisters.

  • Recruit more teachers so that more classes (addressing different needs of b/s) can be offered.

  • Cultivate a bible-learning atmosphere at the congregational level – encourage more members taking Sunday School classes.

2. The highlights of the activities for achieving the goals

Highlights of the activities 

In order to adapt to the various needs of new brothers and sisters who have joined the church this year, we have begun to “diversify” and added a number of new courses with “non-traditional” topics. The following are the courses and learning activities for the whole year:

  • Book Class + ‘pre-study’ Classes: Two Sunday School classes are offered, for the morning and afternoon worshippers. The Bible books that have been studied this year include: Mark, Hebrews, and 1 Corinthians. The pre-study classes for these Books were held in the evenings for Sunday Day school teachers. In addition to the Sunday School teachers, other brothers and sisters also attended. Some pre-study classes were taught by teachers from the International Institute of Christian Education. These classes benefited everyone greatly and helped the teachers better prepare to teach these Books.

  • Spiritual theme classes: classes with various topics have been offered: ‘Study of influential Biblical characters: On the difference between truth and contemporary thoughts’, ‘What should I do? A discussion on Christian ethics’, ‘David’s life in four seasons – Selected scripture studies from 1 and 2 Samuel’.

  • Youth class: Study of the books of Hebrews, Nehemiah, and Overview Discussion of the Old Testament.

  • Faith Building Class: ‘Young Seedlings’: ‘Reorganization of values’ and ‘Following the footsteps of Jesus’.

  • Truth Seeking Class: Rebuilding Happiness and How to practise Biblical teachings.

  • Gospel Classes: The Gospel - Christ Alone - Genealogy of Jesus, Scripture Alone, Parables of Christ. There is another gospel class being taught, and the number of participants is stable.

  • The 100 Minutes of Meditation Spiritual Movement was led by a teacher from the Internation Institute of Christian Education. Brothers and sisters participated willingly. The response was excellent, with a total of 92 people participating from CSC. 

  • Church Library: The operation of the library has been incorporated into the Teaching Ministry group and is now run weekly by a group of young people with plans to re-establish the library system in the future.

  • Evening Course: "An Overview on Systematic Theology", a Cantonese online course, was taught by Rev. Dr. David Wang of the International Institute of Christian Education. Rev. Wang was able to explain Systematic Theology to the laymen believers in a concise and profound way. Many brothers and sisters participated, and they all found the class very interesting, informative, and yet educational. Taking this class indeed deepened many brothers and sisters understanding and knowledge of our God.

  • Evening Courses: In cooperation with the Alliance Bible Seminary Center of Canada, we were one of the few churches which have invited Rev. Dr. Lawrence Ko Ming-him to hold a course on "You Must Be Holy" in our church in July.

  • Bible Exegesis Spiritual Training Conference was held in September with Rev. Dr. David Bao as the keynote speaker. In addition to the CSC brothers and sisters, there were also many brothers and sisters from other churches participating.

  • Summer School classes: Pastor Stephen Lam taught the classes in July and August on “Ten Steps to Exegetical Study of the Book of Proverbs” chapters 5 to 8.

3. The results and some forward looking sharing

Results and forward looking sharing 

  • Thanksgiving: Thank God for all the faithful Sunday School teachers who have worked tirelessly and lovingly to teach God’s Word this past year and the many years before.

  • Sustaining all learning classes: Various courses are currently offered to brothers and sisters in CSC, hoping to cover the spiritual needs of believers with different duration of faith and levels of spiritual maturity. May the Lord help the teachers with more spiritual strength and insight, able to help the brothers and sisters grow by learning from the Sunday school classes, so that they will know more about the Lord Jesus, and will behave in a way that pleases Him.

  • New teachers: Thanks to the Lord, this year we have added some new teachers, and some younger brothers and sisters have joined the ranks of Sunday school teachers. Being a Sunday School teacher is really not easy. May the Lord help these new teachers to continue to grow, to reach new heights in teaching, to work hard for the Lord, and to become His faithful servants. At the same time, some teachers have retired, so the demand for more teachers still exists. We continue to recruit brothers and sisters who are willing to teach, and pray that the Lord will work in people’s hearts so that more brothers and sisters in the church will be willing to proclaim God’s word, glorifying God and benefiting people.

  • Teenagers Class: In order to respond to the needs of the Church members, we will start a "Teenagers Class Sunday School" in January next year. The target students will be Cantonese-speaking teenagers from grade 7 to grade 10. We hope to help them build a good spiritual foundation in their formational years so that they will continue to grow in the Lord.

  • More learners: Throughout the year, the ministry team has been offering diverse and biblically sound courses. We very much hope to see more brothers and sisters participate in our study classes demonstrating their desire and passion to know God’s Word. Let us pray together that everyone will continue to grow in their spiritual journey, stay strong in the Lord’s way, know more about Christ, and follow Him as an example throughout their lives.

  • 裝備目前所有的主日學老師，幫助他們能夠將聖經的教導傳承給弟兄姐妹。

  • 招募更多的老師，好讓我們能夠提供更多不同的課程（配合弟兄姊妹不同的需求）。

  • 在會眾中培養良好的學習聖經氛圍 -- 鼓勵更多弟兄姊妹參加主日學。

2. 為達到目標所作的活動重點

活動重點 

今年教導事工組的活動的特色：爲了適應新參加教會的弟兄姊妹們各樣的需要，我們開始‘多元化’，增加了不少‘非傳統’主題及‘非書卷’的課程。以下為整年的課程及各項學習活動：

  • 書卷班+預學班：早午堂共二班，今年研讀的書卷包括：馬可福音、希伯來書、及哥林多前書。這些書卷的預學班在晚上舉行，除了主日學老師之外，還有其他弟兄姊妹參加。有些預學班的老師由國際基督教教育學院提供，大家都得益匪淺，更幫助老師們更好準備教導這些書卷。

  • 屬靈主題學習班：‘數風雲人物：論真理與時代思想的差異’、‘我要怎麼辦? 基督教倫理學探討’、‘大衛的四季人生 – 撒母耳記上下選讀’。

  • 青少年班：希伯來書研讀、尼希米記研讀、恩怨情仇論舊約。

  • 信仰造就班‘青苗成長’：‘價值觀重整’、‘跟隨耶穌的足跡’。

  • 真理尋索班：再建幸福、落地篇。

  • 福音班：福音明道 – 唯獨基督 – 耶穌的家譜、唯獨聖經、唯獨基督之比喻篇。另外一班福音班仍然繼續，參加人數穩定。

  • 靜思100靈修運動，由基督教教育學院老師帶領，弟兄姊妹自行參加。反應非常良好，粵語堂共有92人參加。

  • 教會圖書舘：圖書舘的運作納入教導事工組，現在由一些青年人負責每周的運作，計劃在將來重新建立圖書館系統。

  • 晚間課程：“系統神學淺談”粵語網上課程，由基督教教育學院的王成偉牧師博士教導，將系統神學深入簡出地向‘平信徒’解釋清楚，有不少弟兄姊妹參加，學員們都對神學增加不少更深入的認識。

  • 晚間課程：和建道中心合作，並與大多市其他幾所教會一同邀請了高銘謙博士7月在本教會舉行了一堂‘你們要聖潔’的課程。

  • 釋經培靈會：在9月舉行，講員為鮑維均牧師博士，除了本堂的粵語堂弟兄姊妹之外，更有不同教會的弟兄姊妹參加。

  • 暑期學習班：藍志誠牧師主講：“十步釋經研讀【箴言書】”五至八章。

3. 成果及一點前瞻分享

成果及前瞻分享 

  • 感恩：為所有忠心事奉的主日學老師感謝主，他們在過去一年以及之前的許多年中，不辭勞苦，以愛心教導上帝的話語。

  • 持續所有學習的課堂：目前提供給粵語堂各弟兄姊妹的各樣課程，盡量涵蓋不同信主時日及靈命成熟程度的信徒。求主幫助，讓老師們更有屬靈的能力和洞悉，在主日學中幫助弟兄姊妹成長，多多認識主耶穌，行事爲人更蒙主喜悅。

  • 新增老師：感謝主，今年我們增加一些新任的老師，也有一些較爲年輕的弟兄姊妹加入主日學老師的行列。這崗位實在不是容易。求主幫助，讓這些新任老師繼續成長，在教導的事上‘更上一層樓’，努力爲主作工，成爲祂忠心的僕人。同時也有一些老師退了下來，所以主日學老師的需求，仍然存在。我們繼續招募有心志教導的弟兄姊妹，求主在人心中動工，讓更多弟兄姊妹願意成爲神話語的宣講者，榮神益人。

  • 增加少年班：爲了回應教會的需要，明年一月，我們會開始‘少年班主日學’，學員對象為七年級至十年級的少年人，希望可以幫助他們在年青的日子裏打好屬靈基礎，在主内繼續成長。

  • 更多學員：這一年來，事工小組一直在提供多樣化且符合聖經的課程。 我們很希望可以看到更多弟兄姊妹參加我們的學習上課，表現出他們對認識神話語的渴慕和熱情。讓我們一起禱告，願大家都能在屬靈的生命中繼續成長，堅守主道，多認識基督，並以祂為榜樣，一生追隨祂。
