Ministry Description

Vision 

To develop and enable leaders and gather relevant resources in order to lead Christ-centred, biblical corporate worship with every member participation.

Ministry Group Members

All ESC Worship Ministry Group Members along with the designated deacon and staff work together to oversee the worship ministry of the ESC by encouraging those in service, collecting feedback, identifying growth areas and planning for growth/ development.

Areas of Ministry

Physical/Logistics Coordinator (1)

  • Looks after the physical component of ESC worship which includes overseeing, informing & communicating with Ushers, Audio/Set-up Personnel, Lord's Supper Attendants, Offering Attendants, Offering Counters, taking resp. for transport of collection, reception needs during fellowship hour and special events, arranging baby-sitting, etc.

Worship Team Coordinator (2)

  • Looks after all things pertaining to the ministry of the Worship Teams which includes overseeing, coordinating, informing and communicating with and caring for Worship Team Leaders, administering the Worship Team covenant, and recruiting Worship Teams for special occasions.

Prayer Coordinator (1)

  • Looks after the organization of ESC prayer meeting(s), prayer partnerships, prayer network, email and prayer chains, concerts of prayer, other prayer strategies, communicating prayer needs to ESC leaders and congregation, etc.

Special Services Coordinator (1)

  • Looks after the planning and execution of occasional, seasonal, and evangelistic services in the ESC including communicating and delegating work to Worship Team, Special Musicians, Testimonies, etc.

2024 Ministry Report

1. The goals of the ministry group for the Year 2024

  • Identify areas of improvement or change in the Worship Service and work collaboratively with other ministries to accomplish goals

  • Invite and encourage more members to serve within the various areas of Worship Ministry (ie. Worship Team, Prayer Meetings, Physical/Logistics, etc.)

  • Foster spiritual growth and deepened relationship with God through prayer, devotionals, and bible study, and fellowship within the team

  • Identify potential leaders and invest in their growth through mentorship and leadership training

2. The highlights of the activities for achieving the goals

  • Collaborated with Multimedia Ministry, Local Outreach Ministry, and Body Life Ministry to form an informal ESC Cross Ministry group. Brainstormed and suggested possible actions of change to the Pastoral Team to foster a welcoming and nurturing community that encourages growth in Christ.

  • New worship team members include: Jeffrey Ho, Ming Her, Zijie Li, and Tommy Tan. New worship leader includes: Samuel Lee. Recruited new members for Worship Ministry 2025: Jeremy Zung, Iris Li, and Grace Leung.

  • Continued our With All Our Hearts Gatherings where we continued to fellowship and grow together through the sharing of songs, passages, and a time of prayer.

  • Was given the opportunity in September 2024 to work collaboratively with Family and Youth Ministry to support their Family and Youth Worship Nights by training up potential youth worship leaders through mentorship and leadership training

3. The results and some forward-looking sharing

  • Welcome pamphlets, ushering pamphlets, and welcome signs were updated. We look forward to putting more actions discussed into practice under the guidance and leadership of the ESC Pastoral Team

  • We look forward to the continual growth of the members and potential members of the worship ministry and the opportunities to worship our God with the gifts and abilities He has blessed us with. To Him be all glory!

  • We look forward to the ongoing fellowship of the worship ministry members and are hoping to extend the joy of worshipping through song and prayer with members of the congregation throughout the week (ie. Praise and Prayer Nights)

  • We praise God for all that He is doing in the Family and Youth Ministry and we look forward to how He will use us to support and foster the younger generation to grow in knowing and serving Him by walking alongside them in their journey of faith
