Ministry Description 事工簡介

Goal

To facilitate and encourage involvement of all brothers/sisters to participate in the fulfillment of the Great Commission of the risen Lord by:

  1. reaching different people groups strategically 

  2. recruiting and nurturing future missionaries

  3. supporting missionaries and mission organizations

  4. promoting mission awareness at NYCBC

Areas of Ministry

Secretary/Administration Assistant

  • To perform general secretarial and administrative duties.

Treasurer

  • To be responsible for budget and administration of funds/support.

Prayer Coordinator

  • To promote prayer for missionaries and other needs worldwide.

Communication/Promotion

  • To facilitate communication of news and needs of missionaries and the world.

Mission Education

  • To educate brothers/sisters in the area of missions that we will be a significant part of the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

Short-term Mission

  • To promote short-term opportunities, and facilitate brothers/sisters to go and serve on a short-term basis.

促進及鼓勵弟兄姊妹實行基督的大使命。包括：

  1. 有策略地向不同種族的人宣講基督

  2. 招募和培育未來的宣教士

  3. 支持宣教士和宣教基構

  4. 在北約中提升宣教意識

事奉崗位

文書／行政助理

  • 負責一般秘書及行政事務。

司庫

  • 負責財政預算及金錢支助的行政。

祈禱

  • 推動為宣教士及工場的需要祈禱。

通訊／宣傳

  • 讓弟兄姊妹認識宣教士的需要、他們的事工和工場。

宣教教育

  • 幫助會眾認識宣教，好讓我們同心參與基督的大使命。

短宣統籌

  • 向各堂和團契通知和宣傳短期宣教的機會，協助弟兄姊妹參加短期宣教。

2024 Ministry Report 事工報告

1. The goals of the ministry group for the Year 2025

  • Continue to support our workers overseas

  • Explore new STM opportunities with existing missionaries who we support, as well as through new strategic project and partnership opportunities

  • Support our missionaries through prayer

  • Take hold of opportunities to keep all 3 congregations mindful of the missionaries we support

2. The highlights of the activities for achieving the goals

  • Feb 12 marked the first send-off STM vision trip to Nepal

  • Our 2nd year of sending a  STM to Cuba is scheduled for June 3rd

  • Quarterly Church Wide Joint Prayer meeting for our missionaries

  • Host missionaries who we support at NYCBC during their trips back to Toronto, invite them to share during Sunday Service or Sunday school 

  • Prepare and promote NYCBC Mission Conference in the fall

3.The results and some forward looking sharing

  • First STM trip to Nepal had a total of 8 team members from NYCBC

  • Consistent numbers come out to Joint Wide Joint Prayer Meeting

  • Growing knowledge and familiarity with the missionaries who we support
