Scripture:
"I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."
Philippians 1:3-6 (ESV)
Reflection:
Paul’s heart overflowed with joy as he remembered the Philippians—not just as individuals, but as partners in the gospel. There is a special kind of joy that comes when we labor together for the Kingdom of God. Gospel partnership is not a burden; it is a blessing. It brings encouragement, unity, and a deep sense of shared purpose.
As we look back over 55 years, NYCBC has been blessed by countless saints who have given, served, prayed, and supported one another in the gospel work. This partnership has brought joy, hope, and life transformation, not only within our church family but extending to missions near and far. When we share the gospel together, we share in the joy of seeing lives changed by Christ. As we continue forward, may we rekindle that joy in serving and sharing the good news. Let’s not see gospel work as duty alone but as a privilege and a joy that binds us together in Christ.

When you reflect on NYCBC’s journey of partnership in the gospel, how has this brought you joy? How can you rekindle this joy as you continue to serve?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for the joy of gospel partnership. Thank You for those who have walked with NYCBC from the first day until now. Rekindle in us a deep joy in sharing Christ, serving others, and building Your church. May our unity and joy be a testimony to the world of Your grace and love.
